Srushti is preparing to take her UPSC examination in her third year of studying engineering. After her graduation she was unsure if she could be happy with her engineering job. The answer became more clear as she focused more on the civil service. The parents of her insisted that she study for civil services and pursue a career serving the public. Her motivation was to be an IAS officer, and she was focusing to achieve that goal. It takes more effort to get UPSC. She prepared for UPSC topics while studying her engineering. Exam preparation consumed time every single day. Within just one and a quarter months, she was studying for engineering exams, and avoided any social interaction. She believes that being focused solely on what needs to be done is key to passing this test. She worked hard to ensure she passed the test on her first attempt. Her habit was to go through newspapers in order to keep abreast of daily news. Rajya Sabha TV and online studying materials also proved to be a huge help for her. IAS Srushti Deskmukh IAS Srushti Deskmukh published her own publication titled The Answer Writing Manual. It is accessible in every library across all states in the country. It is an excellent book for all IAS candidates who are preparing hard to pass this exam.
