Samantha Mohr
Mohr was a UGA student and entered her first pageant when she was recommended by a close friend. The contest was named Miss Columbus 1985. This win made her eligible to compete in Miss Georgia. Miss Georgia pageant in June 1985. Mohr was the winner on June 22nd, 1985. The winner earned more than $3,500 in scholarships and other prize money from the state pageant. As Miss Georgia, her activities Georgia included appearances in public spots across Georgia. Mohr represented Georgia at the Miss America 1986 pageant in Atlantic City, New Jersey at the end of September in 1985. Mohr stood a chance of 22 to 1 to win the Miss America title. Computer simulations proved accurate in predicting Susan Akin's triumph. Mohr wasn't a Top-10 finalist for the crown of Miss America. Mohr's time in the role of Miss Georgia lasted until she succeeded her successor Marlesa Ball, Miss Georgia 1986 on June 28 in 1986.
