Geena Davis

Geena is an American actress, producer, and writer, who is also a vocal advocate for women's issues. In addition to her many performances in Hollywood as well, she's received the acclaim of critics for her role in televisions serials of every genre. Prior to her move into film she worked as a model in the fashion industry and also a part of the semi-finalist Team of Women's Archery in Olympics. She's been studying playing the flute and piano since childhood because of her passion for music. She also played the organ at a church in Wareham. The path she took to become an actor began with New York City when she received her degree from Boston University's dramatic program. She struggled hard there and ended up doing different types of odd jobs, before obtaining her first break as an actor. Models were a hit before making her acting debut with the film "Tootsie' in the year 1982. Then, her acting career was very successful and she was awarded the Oscar Award. She also won the Golden Globe Award for her appearance in a TV drama. Two sons are hers, and one daughter from her wedding to Reza Jarrahy. She has been involved in many different charitable causes.
